Acted as the highest point of the world, Mt. Everest is highly respected as the most mysterious legend for most of people. Though more and more people successfully reach the top of Mt. Everest, it is still the great and holy natural masterpiece throughout the world. But because of the risk of climbing this high snow mountains, some people would also like to visit Mt. Everest Base Camp at the foot of Mt. Everest instead. It also impresses tourists a lot during Tibet tour. Mt. Everest Base Camp is actually one of the essential attractions when you come to China.

Mt. Everest Advice - The Holy Snow Mountain

Mt. Everest is not only the highest peak of Himalaya Mountain of the world, but also the highest place, both which make it famous as "The Worldwide Third Ladder". In Tibetan language, it is renowned for the name of "Qomolangma" and literally means the holy fairy.

Rongbuk Monastery

It is the best place for sightseeing Mt. Everest but also the ideal location for professional photograph. Rongbuk Monastery is widely known as the highest monastery of the world even though it is very small and remote. Acted as the way which must be passed towards to Mt. Everest Base Camp, tourists always stop off there for some time.

Mt. Everest Base Camp

It is about 8 kilometers far from Rongbuk Monastery to Mt. Everest Base Camp. People who visit Mt. Everest Base Camp are highly suggested to take down jacket and thick coats even during the period of summer because of the lower temperature and changeable whether there. You can send a post card of Mt. Everest to your friends in China. Actually, the sunrise and the sunset over Mt. Everest are both the most fascinating attractions there.

The entry tickets of Mt. Everest Base Camp

Due to protect the amazing and magnificent natural scenery around Mt. Everest, the eco-car is available between Mt. Everest Base Camp and Rongbuk Monastery. Or tourists can trek between these two places. The entry ticket of Mt. Everest Natural Reserve costs 180 RMB per person. The entry ticket costs 405 RMB for 4WD and 605 RMB for BPV.

Accommodation in Mt. Everest Base Camp

Rongbuk Monastery is the only one where you can overnight around Mt. Everest besides Mt. Everest Base Camp. Each bed costs RMB 200 per person in Rongbuk Monastery. If you take your own sleeping bag, you can overnight in the tent in Mt. Everest Base Camp. There are 6 people in the tent in general and it costs RMB 200 for each person.

The best time to visit Mt. Everest Base Camp

The best time to visit Mt. Everest Base Camp is from April to June every year. The time from December to March may be not the proper time to go to Mt. Everest Base Camp due to the coldest climate there.
