4-day Group Tour Lhasa-Namtso Lake

Jokhang Temple

Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa

We will see you at Lhasa Railway Station or Lhasa Gonggar Airport once you arrival upon. According to relative regulations, our local Tibetan guide is waiting for you outside the railway station in general. Afterwards, we will send you to Lhasa hotel for highland acclimatization.

Tips: Lhasa is 3650 meters high with lesser oxygen content . Most of tourists would suffer the slight symptoms of high altitude sickness such as dizzy and headache. We kindly suggest you to drink water more times and have more fruits. Having a good rest is the best way to prevent the high altitude sickness.

Day 2 Lhasa essence sightseeing

In the morning, we will spend about 1 hour visiting Potala Palace. Potala Palace was built in AD 7th century during the period of Songtsen Gampo. It is listed as the World Cultural Heritage that looks magnificent and grand. Since the 17th century, it has been regarded as the work office for Dalai Lama in winter, and that is why it is so renowned as of now. Also, it is famous for the rare treasures and high historical values. After lunch, we will visit Jokhang Temple - the central monastery of Tibet Buddhism. It was built in the 7th Century. The 12-year-old Sakyamuni Statue has been preserved and worshiped in Jokhang Temple. You can say that, Jokhang Temple is the essential Buddhist monastery of Lhasa.

Barkhor Street is just available around Jokhang Temple. You can have your time walking around there.

Tips: please take your sunglasses and other skin care products as you will spend lots of time outside today. The ultraviolet ray in Tibet is higher.

Day 3 Lhasa-Namtso Lake

We will set our for Namtso Lake in the morning. It is well known as one of the top 3 sacred lakes of Tibet. The other two sacred lakes are Yamdrok Lake and Mapam Yungtso. Before we will arrive at Tashi Peninsula, we will pass through the Northern Tibet prairie, Qinghai-Tibet Highway, Nagenla Mountain (5190m), and Nyenchen Tanglha Mountain along the way.

Tips: the altitude is higher over there with lower temperature. Namtso Lake is 250km far from Lhasa so that we may take 8 hours driving on the car in total.

Day 4 Leave Lhasa

After breakfast, we will escort you to the airport or the railway station. It is time to say goodbye each other, but we hope to see you again in Tibet soon.
