Essential Tips of Tibet Tour

Update: Mar. 20th, 2013

Namtso Lake

The sky here is more blue and higher, the river here is more torrential and fast, and the heart beat here is more exciting. Where is it? It is Tibet. There are rich in ancient glaciers, high ice mountains, vast and wide plateau grasslands, strong and vigorous eagles, running horses, strong herdsmen, ancient ruins, deep Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, and no man's land – northern Tibet, etc.

Essential Tips of Tibet Tour – Certifications, Tibet Travel Permits

As most of the areas of Tibet are border to the boundary country, foreign tourists are required the Tibet Travel Permits. Tibet Travel Permits include Tibet Travel Permit (Tibet Entry Permit), Aliens' Travel Permit and Military Permit. For example, most tourists who would like to visit Mount Qomolangma are required the Tibet military permit during Tibet tour. If you would like to go ahead to visit the Kingdom of Nepal through Tibet, you could choose to apply for Nepalese visa in Lhasa City and get it in the Kathmandu – the capital of the Kingdom of Nepal.

People from Hong Kong and Macao do not need to apply for Tibet Travel Permits if they do not visit the boundary areas of Tibet. They are required the reentry permit to get into Tibet instead of Tibet Travel Permits.

Besides, overseas Chinese are also required the Tibet Travel Permits to enter Tibet, too.

The documents of Tibet Travel Permits application include Chinese visa, your passport, confirmed itinerary and your occupation. It usually takes about 15 days to be approved by Tibet Tourism Bureau.

Essential Tips of Tibet Tour – Environmental Protection

We have organized many tours in Tibet, and we have also found large numbers of rubbishes every year. That is horrible and distressing. More and more people come to Tibet as they are attracted by the clean air, blue sky, and relaxing plateau environment of this sacred land of the world. But if Tibet is full of rubbishes one day, it could not be different from other places on the earth anymore. It no longer shows the pure sceneries to us in the future. How disappointed it is.

We are doing our best to tell every guest to be with us to protect the amazing beautiful environment of Tibet, and we will do it all the time. While you are traveling in Tibet, please do us a favor to let your teammates know how important the natural environment to Tibet is, such as your driver and your guide. There are still many things we can do. For example, do not throw the plastic bags everywhere. Do not throw your batteries or cigarettes somewhere. Do not left your food, or rubbish on the way. Do not cut or fire the woods. Do not hurt any animals in Tibet. Do not steal the wild Tibetan medicines, or destroy the forests.

We assure that everyone who is passionate for traveling must love the nature so much. Why not keep it intact to let more people to share? Your generations may know that you are one of the powers of protecting Tibet.
