Well, when you are planing to have a Tibet tour from India, you'd better know what things to do in this country to assure that your journey is plenty of worthy stuffs.

Things to do in India - Shopping, Food

Shopping

Well, it is an ordinary behavior that people usually go for shopping when they travel such scenic spots. As everybody knows, India is noted for its artistic works, which tourists can find the suitable one with their great aesthetic value. The artistic works mainly originated from Rajasthani culture, South Indian culture, and East Indian culture. Some of them could be wear on our body, some of them could be decorate our house, some are going to be used as gifts. You can creat a new way to use by yourselves. And of course there is another long shopping list which you can make it yourself, too.

Some national artistic works may similar with some Tibetan stuffs, as both of them are reflected by Buddhism culture.

You may go shopping in the shopping center in New Delhi or just in free market, such as The Central Cottage Industries Emporium amd Delhi Tourism's Dilli Haat in Delhi. But there are two additional information for your reference: the shopping mall, as well as theatre and restaurants are usually closed after 19:00 every day in summer. If you would like to buy something in the free market, do remember to have a bargain.

Food

As we introduced some India cuisine before, finally you will find one good tasty food from the menu. If this is your first time to travel here, you'd better to taste the local food such as Tandoor Chicken and Samosa, but also you can find the international flavor food in many restaurants. All of the food you may find in every city of India.

The staple food of Indian is rice and noodles. In north, it is mainly wheat, corn,and bean. In east and south parts of India, it is mainly about rice. In the middle part, it is mainly about millet and coarse cereals. The non-stable food are meat and vegetable. Do remember that Indians do not eat beef.
