It is possible for tourists to feel the tropical climate, breathe sweet air and taste lots of different flavors fruits in Medog in Tibet. After the operation of highway to Medog in October last year, new self-driving route and trek itinerary are both designed and built by local government. After it finished, it will attract more tourists to plan a Tibet tour since 2014.

As the last county without highway of China, Medog is well known for many tourists because of its primitive and original ecology as well as the highland tropical climate. The terrian of Medog is gradually lower from the north to the south with obvious height difference. To your surprise, both of the snow mountains and subtroical plants will be showed in one shot and impress you a wonderful sightseeing. Even though it is proud of the beautiful nature and mysterious culture, few people can travel to Medog due to the inconvenient transportation.

According to the report, the self-driving route will be 164 kilometers long departing from Zhamo Highway to Dabeibeng Village by way of Medog County, Folk Village of Menba Nation, Loba Nation's dwellings and varies of rare flora and fauna. There will be two courieer stations in the midway providing the service of inquiry, catering and rest.

On the other hand, the trek itinerary will be 88 kilometers long and designed from Paizhen Town (along Yarlung Zangbo River, Nyingchi Prefecture) to Dabeibeng Village. You will have a chance to enjoy the sightseeing of Songlin Pass, Yarlung Zangbo River, dense waterfalls, natural cave dwellings, primitive fir forests, old town relics, unique minority nation culture and Doweila Snow Mountain and so on.
