Qyangtang Grassland

Qyangtang Grassland is located about 99 kilometers north far from Qinghai-Tibet Highway across from Nyenchen Tanglha Mountain. On the way to Qyangtang Grassland, after passing Yampachen geothermal power station you will see Nyenchen Tanglha Mountain. Nyenchen Tanglha Mountain covers the middle part and the east part of Tibet region. It is about 1400 kilometers long and 80 kilometers wide, standing 5000-6000 meters high. Qyangtang Grassland is one of the top 5 pastures of China and available among Kunlun Mountain Range, Tanggula Mountain and Gangdisê Mountains.

Qyangtang Grassland stretches about 2400 kilometers long from the east to the west, and about 700 kilometers long from the south to the north. Consists of a series of deserts and lakes, it is regarded as the no man's land of Tibet. It is rich in nomadic culture and ancient ruins such as the Ancient Shangxong Ruins, Manidui, and prayer flags, etc. It covers an area of 2/3 of the total acreage of Tibet. The average elevation is over 4500 meters.

Yampachen Terrestrial Heat

Yampachen Terrestrial Heat is commonly known as Yampachen Hot Spring, located in Dangxong County about 90 kilometers northwest far from Lhasa City. It covers an area of 7000 kilometers. The water temperature keeps about 47 ?. It is not only the first wet steam field in the continent in China, but also the highest terrestrial heat of the world.

Lies in the highest plateau, Tibet is proud of large numbers of hot spring resources. Yampachen Terrestrial Heat includes fountains, geysers, hot springs, boiling springs, and hot lakes, etc. The water of Yampachen Terrestrial Heat is said to be helpful for some diseases.

Tangra Yumco Lake

Tangra Yumco Lake is also called Tanggula Lake, which is highly respected by Bon Sect in ancient times. It is the third larger lake of Tibet. In general, it stretches from the south to the north and is formed like a sole. It is embraced by the high mountains, which Dargo Mountain around is regarded as the holy land by local Tibet people.

Ancient Shangxong Kingdom Ruins

Ancient Shangxong Kingdom Ruins are located in Nima County in Nagqu Prefecture. It is available in the hillside and constructed by the stones, which looks very magnificent and splendid. It is proud of 1600 year's history. Bon Sect was established during the period of great prosperous of Shangxong Kingdom. In AD 8 century, Shangxong Kingdom was destroyed by Tubo Dynasty.

Seling-tso Lake

Seling-tso Lake is the second larger salt water lake of northern Tibet. The largest salt water lake is Namtso Lake. It is available in the junction of Shenzha County, Nima County and Bange County. It stands 4530 meters high and stretches about 72 kilometers from the east to the west. There is not any animate plant or animal around Seling-tso Lake, so that it is regarded as the evil lake by local Tibetan people. Beside Seling-tso Lake, there is a sacred lake. The lives around the sacred lake are full of vigor.
