Tang – Bo Ancient Road is originated from Xian City of Qinghai Province to Lhasa City of Tibet Region. It has been regarded as the way to welcome the Buddha by Tibetan people, as it was the way which was passed by Princess Wencheng of Tang Dynasty about 1300 years ago. When Princess Wencheng of Tang Dynasty got married with Songtsen Gampo, she brought a lot of artisans, artists, and a large number of silks and satins, ancient books and records, and medical books, etc, and introduced the Buddhist scriptures to Tibet. If we depart from Xining City, we will travel along G214 National Way and then connect to G317 National Highway in Riwoqe County in Tibet Autonomous Region. The section of G214 National Highway has the similar route of Tang – Bo Ancient Road.
