Guidance

The entry ticket is RMB 150 for a adult and RMB 70 for a kid. Yarlung Zangbo River area is opened during the whole day. The best time for Yarlung Zangbo River sightseeing is from May to October. The climate is moist and good for travel.

We kindly suggest you to put your photograph equipments into the bags when you pass through the mountain passes.

The equipments should be water-proof.

Please prepare the proper equipments, but not more. It will make you tired if you take many stuffs.

Big and heavy camera lens are not suggested to carry.

Traffic

You can enjoy your self-driving experience along G318 National Road, or trek from Pailong to Zhaqu.

Trek

The best time for trekking to Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon is from June to October. In general, Medog will be closed as it will be snow covered after October. During the period of April and October, there is little rain in the grand canyon. From June to August, there is much rainy time.

Route

There are two ways to enter Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, by land or boat. In general, the traditional land route is Milin - Doweila - Nage - Hanmi - Maniweng - Beibeng.
