Tibet Train Tours – Advantages and Disadvantages

Both the direct trains and flights are available between Lhasa and several other important domestic cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing and Guangzhou. There is only one direct international flight opened in Tibet Autinomous Region – the direct flight between Lhasa and Kathmandu. Disadvantages of Tibet Train Tours

Just as every coin has two sides, Tibet train tours have its disadvantages. First, it takes a pretty long time to get to Lhasa compared to enter into Lhasa by air. Though there are amazing natural landscapes outside the window, a long journey on the train might also be boring.

Besides, various degrees of altitude sickness might occur to tourists after the train enters into Golmud. The oxygen supply and commonly used medicines are available on the train, but the facilities are pretty limited when some serious symptoms of altitude sickness occurred. Tourists could only get formal treatment after arrive in Lhasa.
