Regions with an altitude of higher than 3000 meters are regarded as plateau. The climate of Tibet Plateau is mainly characterized by low oxygen content, strong sunshine radiation and obvious temperature difference. Lhasa enjoys an elevation of 3600 meters. The oxygen content in the air here is only about 70 percent of that on the plain.
