Lhasa Highlights

Being famous as the sunlight city of the world, Lhasa is accepted and liked by lots of tourists. You can enjoy sunshine in Makey-Ame with a cup of Tibetan Butter tea, or just walk around Jokhang Temple for pray.

Route: Potala Palace-Norbu Lingka-Jokhang Temple-Barkhor Street-Sera Monastery (Buddhits debating).

Mt. Everest

Shigatse is the essential attraction of southern Tibet with rich tourism resource. Tashilhunpo Monastery. Mt. Eversest, Gyantse and Karo-la Glacier are the most popular attractions.

Route: Lhasa-Shigatse(Tashilhunpo Monastery)-Sakya (Sakya Monastery)-Gyantse (Parkhor Monastery, Pala Manor)-Karo-la Glacier- Yamdrok Lake-Lhasa.

Shannan Prefecture

Let's walk in and visit the original birthplace of Tsangyang Gyatso - the 6th Dalai Lama's, Menyu Leby in Shannan Prfecture. Lebu Valley is 380 kilometers far from Lhasa and 2900 meters high. There are full of dense forests with moist climate.

Route: Cona County (Lebu Valley)-Yungbu Lakhang-Tsungzhu Temple-Qyongye-Samye Monastery-Lhasa River-Norbu Lingka-Potala Palace-Dragon King Pool-Makey Ame Dinning Hall.


The mysterious Ngari Prefecture, the amazing scared mountain, the pure Buddhist lake. Take a risk in the wild nature in Ngari prefecture. Mapam Yungtso Lake and Mt.Kailash are both recommended to you.

Route: Shiquan River Town-The Relics of Guge Kingdom-Kogya Monastery-Mt. Kailash-Mapam Yungtso Lake-Bangong Lake.


Well, if you are interested in photography in Tibet, come to Nagqu prefecture. You can see the wild plasture in the highland and paradise of wild animals. Tibetan antelopes, wild yaks, the deers, etc, are running in the highland here and there.
