Rongbuk Monastery

Rongbuk Monastery is a monastery of Nyingma Sect. Both the monks and nuns live in the monastery. It is about 90 kilometers away from the township and highest monastery in the world with an altitude of 5800 meters.

Rongbuk Hostel

Rongbuk Hostel is the highest one of the world nearby Mt. Everest Base Camp, across from Rongbuk Monastery. It is about 20 kilometers away from Mt. Everest Base Camp, so it is also regarded as the best place to overview Mt. Everest.

Rongbuk Hostel is surrounded all sides, which the central yard provides parking service, too. There are different types of the rooms inside, for example, a room for 4 people/two people are both available. The senior room looks like a standard room of other hotels of China, which has a better angle to enjoy the view of Mt. Everest.

In general, there are two beds inside, a small night table, and a washstand in the room. The blanket is very thick which help you keep warm in the night.

Rongbuk Hostel will provide the electric power until 12:00 at midnight. Ladies would be probably feel afraid watching outside without light. So we kindly suggest you take a flashlight in hand.
