Balangxue Hostel

It is one of the oldest hostels of Lhasa City, located at No. 8 of Beijing Middle Road. The normal standard room costs RMB 120-200/p.p. There is a public toilet and public shower cubicle. The long gallery of Balangxue Hostel attracts lots of people to talk there, which is a good place to overlook Barkhor Street. There are some restaurants and bars arround Balangxue Hostel.

Gyiri Hostel

Gyiti Hostel is located at No. 105 of Beijing Middle Road. It is welcomed by most of Chinese backpackers and it becomes the top 1 favorite hostel for Chinese people in recent years. The rooms are usually provided for 3 or 4 people at a time. Every morning, you will be urged by the waiters to give them your dirty clothes.

Longdagye Guesthouse

Most of the bicycle tourists prefer to stay in this guesthouse even though there are few rooms. It costs RMB 100-280 in general. Both of the public washing room and shower cubicle are provided. The guesthouse will close the door at 24:00 every day.

There is a big yard surrounded in this guesthouse. Some tourists would like to lie in a wooden chair there in the evening.

Yak Hotel

Seriously, Yak hotel is the 3-star standard hotel, located very close to Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. Foreign tourists are like to choose this hotel as it is decorated in Tibetan architecture style, but also it is cost-effective. The cost of Yak hotel is more cost-effective than other 3-star standard hotels in Lhasa. It costs RMB 450-600 in general.

Snowland Hostel

It is located at a street in front of Jokhang Temple. The top of this hostel is a good place to overlook the full view of Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. It is one of the closest hostel close to Jokhang Temple so that liked by most of backpackers. The square of Jokhang Temple is just across from this hostel.
