The period between July and September is the best season for tourists planning to do some adventure and trekking activities in the wild during their Tibet tour. The climate during this period would be pretty pleasant though the night rainfall happens frequently. The lakes and mountains would present their most beautiful scenery. But the cost of Tibet tour would be relatively higher during the best season since the demand of hotel, restaurant, train/air ticket would be greatly exceeded the supply due to the rapid increasing of visitors. Tourists planning to make kora around Mt. Kailash during the Tibet tour are strongly suggested to make this trip between July and September since this period is most suitable for trekking around Mt. Kailash with poor road condition.

For tourists only interested in the regular spots in Lhasa and Shigatse, the period between October and February would also be a good tourism season. The number of tourists would be much less compared to that of the high season. The strong sunshine during the daytime would not make you feel pretty cold. The largest advantage to make a Tibet tour during this period is that the cost would be at its lowest around the year.
