How to Enjoy Lhasa on Our Own

How to Enjoy Lhasa on Our Own

At about 8:00 in the morning

Zikuo Road will be very beautiful when the first dawn shines on the scripture road of Lhasa City. The wonderful smell of Galsang Flower will greatly impress you and you will have a chance to see the pilgrims praying to the Buddha outside of Jokhang Temple.

At about 10:00 in the morning

If you prefer to have a leisure relaxing time in Lhasa City, you should drink a cup of tea at a tea house here. There will be lots of local Tibetans and large numbers of friends from all over the world. You can listen to not only the stories of Tibetan culture, but also the travel experience of theirs. They gather together because of Tibet and we say it, destiny.

At 12:00 in the afternoon

The snacks of Canggu Monastery are famous in local. Canggu Monastery is located in the old Lhasa city center. The famous snacks are sweet tea and bean jelly.

At 2:00 in the afternoon

Well, it is time for watching and thinking, or dazing in Lhasa now. In the afternoon, watching outside of your window, you will find the shining sunshine and beautiful smiling Tibetan girls. They dress beautiful colorful clothes and they are very devoted to their belief, Buddha.

At 4:00 in the afternoon

Visiting Moya stone inscription at Yaowang Hill will be a good choice for you. There are few tourists visiting during Tibet tour. More important is, you can light the butter lamp there and make your best wishes.

At 5:00 in the afternoon

If you are interested in old Lhasa history, you can walk in the old alleys in Lhasa City. I am sure of your local Tibetan guide will show you a lot there. They even know what happened to old wall or old yard. They can tell you more than you are reading from the book.

At 6:00 in the afternoon

It is time for dancing now! Lots of people will dance at the square together. The night view of Lhasa lights will be amazing.

At 7:00 in the evening

Dinner time. You can tell the guide what kind of flavor do you prefer to taste in Tibet, and they will show you there. There are lots of famous restaurants on the street such as Makey-Ame.

At 9:00 in the evening

Drinking a cup of beer at a small bar will be perfect. You can spend your time talking with your friends there as you wish.
