Detailed Schedule for Self-riding Tour to Mt. Everest Base Camp

To save more energy to cope with the high altitude and poor road condition between Tingri and Mt. Everest, a large number of tourists making a self-riding tour to Mt. Day4, Tashi Zong - Rongbuk Monastery

It is about 45 kilometers between Tashi Zong and Rongbuk Monastery and it takes about 11 hours riding. There is village providing boiled water on the way. After arrive in Rongbuk Monastery, tourists making a self-riding tour could choose to stay overnight in the guesthouse or camp on your own.

Day5, Rongbuk Monastery – Mt. Everest Base Camp

It is only 8 kilometers between Rongbuk Monastery and Mt. Everest Base Camp. But tourists making a self-riding tour to Mt. Everest Base Camp have to take about 3 hours riding to finish this journey due to the poor road condition and high altitude. Mt. Everest Base Camp has an altitude of 5200 meters.
