Most of the tourists making a Tibet tour have a tight schedule for exploring more about Tibet and some of them would choose to take a hot spring bath after a day of tiredness. Actually, the most important thing is to have a good rest rather than take a hot spring bath when you are very tired. Take a hot spring bath in a tired state will aggravate the cardiopulmonary burden when your body is in a tired state. Besides, it is also not suitable to take a hot spring bath in one hour after a feast or drinking. A hot spring bath should also not be taken after strenuous exercise or suffering a severe sleep insufficiency.

Most of the hot springs opened to tourists enjoy a temperature of 38 to 42 Celsius. That temperature is higher than the body temperature of human beings. To avoid aggravating the cardiopulmonary burden, tourists making a Tibet tour and willing to take a hot spring bath are strongly suggested to control your bath time between 10 to 15 minutes. The heat dissipation of human beings only depends on sweating when the temperature in the environment is higher than 36 Celsius, but the sweating is not available in the hot spring. Tourists planning to take a hot spring bath in Tibet should enter into the hot spring slowly so as to make your body adapt to the temperature gradually. Tourists should always put your hands in the hot spring first to test the temperature and then walk into the hot spring. The part above your heart should not be submerged into the hot spring immediately since it takes certain time for your body to get adapted to the temperature. While leaving the hot spring pool, tourists should also leave enough time for your body to adapt to the outside temperature.

The pores of the skin will be stretched and sweat a lot. To avoid catching a cold, tourists are highly advised to wipe the sweat away and dry your hair. Generally, human beings would lose water rapidly in an environment with high temperature and enough water drinking is quite necessary after a hot spring bath in Tibet.
