D16 Rongxu Army Service Station (4100) – Dongda Mountain Pass (5008) – Zuogong (3877)

It is approximately 62 kilometers long from Rongxu Army Service Station to Zuogong. Today we will climb over Dongda Mountain of 5000 meters high. It is the rough road on the way. Please pay attention to your riding speed, as the elevation of Dongda Mountain is a little high. In addition, it is said that Dongda Mountain is covered with snow in 11 months in a year.

The food and accommodation condition are both fine in Zuogong. Most of the hostels in Zuogong cost 100 RMB per person.

D17 Zuogong – Tiantuo Town (3906m) – Bangda County (4120m)

It is approximately 113 kilometers long from Zuogong County to Bangda County. There are almost all the flat roads on the way. No high mountains. No steep slopes. The natural sceneries are breathtaking. It is a good chance for photographic enthusiasts. Bangda Youth Hostel costs 150 RMB per person. You are kindly suggested to have lunch in Tiantuo Town and have dinner in Bangda County.

D18 Bangda County – Yelashan Mountain Pass (4600m) – Nu River Bridge (2740m) – Basu (3300m)

It is approximately 97 kilometers long from Bangda County to Basu County. It is the asphalt road from Bangda County to Basu County. Basu County literally means "the village under the hero mountain" in Tibetan language.

According to the history record, it is one of the dangerous sections of Sichuan-Tibet Highway. It is 20% accident rate. Be careful.

D19 Basu County – Anjiula Mountain (4320m) – Ranwu Lake (3920m)

It is approximately 93 kilometers long from Basu County to Ranwu Lake. There are about 68 kilometers of the up slopes and about 22 kilometers of the down slopes. The snow mountains on both sides of the road are breathtaking. You'd better depart from Basu County earlier, as some natural disasters frequently happened such as rainstorm, and hailstone. You'd better reach Ranwu Lake as early as you can.

D20 Ranwu Lake – Songzong Town (3030m) – Bome (2750m)

It is approximately 136 kilometers long from Ranwu Lake to Bome. We will appreciate beautiful Midui Glacier on the way. There are all asphalt roads from Ranwu Lake to Bome. Bome is 2735 meters high.

D21 Bome – Gulong Town (2600m) – Tongmai Town (2080m)

It is approximately 95 kilometers long from Bome to Tongmai town. There are thick forests on both sides of the road.

D22 Tongmai – Pailong Village (2030m) – Lulang (3270m)

It is approximately 78 kilometers long from Tongmai to Lulang. Pailong natural barrier is the most dangerous section of Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The road is narrow and full of curves. Lulang Forest Sea is the famous scenic spot of Lulang County.

D23 Lulang – Sejila Mountain Pass (4620m) – Nyingchi County (2500m) – Bayi Town (3000m)

It is approximately 75 kilometers from Lulang to Bayi Town. If the weather condition is fine, you will have a chance to overview Mount Namjagbarwa. The accommodation condition in Bayi Town is fine.

D24 Bayi Town – Bahe Town (3228m) – Kongpu Gyangda County (3440m)

It is approximately 127 kilometers long from Bayi Town to Kongpu Gyangda County. We could have lunch in Bahe Town or eat the solid food on halfway.

D25 Kongpu Gyangda County – Jinda Town (3650m) – Gyaxing Village (3903m) – Songdo (4170m)

It is approximately 96 kilometers long from Gongpu Gyangda County to Songdo. It is almost asphalt road on the way.

D26 Songdo (4170) – Mila Mountain Pass (5030m) – Mozhu Gyongka (3830m) – Lhasa (3650m)

It is approximately 156 kilometers long from Songdo to Lhasa City. Today we will climb over Mila Mountain Pass. Mila Mountain Pass is the last mountain pass before arriving in Lhasa City. Then we will reach Mozhu Gyongka. Mozhu Gyongka is the hometown of Songtsen Gampo. Next we could ride along Lhasa River and arrive in Lhasa finally.
