Tibetan Traditions – Tibetan Hat

The Tibetan hats are with various types and styles. For example, the most common hats in Tibet – Ciren Kinkexia Hat is with exquisite craftsmanship and various styles. In Eastern Tibet, Tibetans would like to wear leather hat. The Tibetan leather hats almost are made up of a complete fox fur which will give people the feeling of boorish and bold. In ancient Tibet, the texture and shape of the hat is the symbol of status, background, knowledge and property. There are fixed styles of hats for people with different status.

Tibetan Traditions – Earrings

In Tibetan traditions, the earrings are traditional ornaments. Most earrings in Tibet are silver products. The earrings which diameter is about 3 inches are for males. Tibetan earrings are decorated by coral and pine otolith in front, and with a hook at the back. When wear, hang the earring on ear.

Tibetan Traditions – Tibetan Shoes

Tibetan shoes are almost can be divided into "Songba Shoes", "Garluo" Shoes" and "Duozha Shoes". In general, Tibetan shoes are made up of Tibetan wool, woolen and so on. The main material of Tibetan shoes is velvet or leather. The matching of color is very special. Some of Tibetan shoes are also decorated with various patterns. The toe caps of Tibetan shoes are in the shape of square, circle, cuspidal and hook. There is a back opening on Tibetan shoes which is about 10cm long. With this opening, it is more convenience to wear and take off. All Tibetan shoes are with shoelaces which are beautiful and special handicraft.

Tibetan Traditions – Tibetan Robe

In Tibetan traditions, the most popular traditional dress is the wide and large Tibetan robe which is made up of Tibetan wool, woolen and cloth. The Tibetan robes are almost with large collar or round collar. The Tibetan robes are right cardigan style, with one button or no button. The collar and edge of Tibetan robes almost are decorated with colorful cloth or leopard fur.

Tibetan Traditions – Waist Sword

The waist sword is the traditional ornament of Tibetan, which get the name for hanging on the waist. Tibetan waist sword can be divided into long and short. The long is about 2 inches to 3 inches long, while the short is shorter than 1 inch. The waist sword can be used as weapon, or to cut thorns or meat in daily life.
