1.What is the best time to travel to Tibet?

The best time to travel to Tibet is from May to October every year. July and August are both the golden time, as it is a traditional travel season for some Chinese people. In addition, it is summer holiday for Chinese students.

2.What do we need to prepare for Tibet tour?

For foreign tourists, you need to prepare some documents such as Chinese visa L (L = Chinese Tourism Visa), passport, confirmed itinerary and occupation to apply for Tibet Travel Permits, and some other personal stuffs, such as medicines for High Altitude sickness, backpacks, sunglasses, skin care products, etc. If you would like to know more, please enjoy reading "What to Pack" before Tibet tour starts.

3.Must we get the Tibet Travel Permits to enter Tibet?

Yes, according to current Tibet travel policy, foreign tourists have to get the Tibet Travel Permits to enter Tibet.

4.Why people who have a cold before Tibet tour starts are suggested not to enter Tibet?

The immunity of people who have a cold is descent and weakness. It is easy to turn to high altitude sickness and acute mountain sickness in Tibet, such as pulmonary edema. The acute mountain sickness is life-threatening. If you get a cold in Tibet, you are highly suggested to take the medicines immediately. Generally speaking, you will feel better in next 2 days.

5.What are the taboos when communicate with Tibetan people?

Please do not take photos to them if you are not agreed or acceptable. Please do not talk about the political issues or religious issues. Please do not eat the dog meat, monkey meat or the horseflesh.

6.Is it convenient to take a shower in Tibet?

Generally speaking, the common facilities are all provided in the relatively larger cities of Tibet, such as Lhasa City, Shigatse Prefecture, or Nyingchi Prefecture, etc. Taking a shower is convenient in the hotels in those regions. But we kindly suggest you that do not take a shower instantly once you reach Tibet.

7.Is it safe to travel in Tibet?

Sure. Almost all the Tibetan people believe in Tibet Buddhism. They are very devout to the religious sect and their daily life. They are very friendly to tourists.

8.What is the cost-effective way to Tibet?

In general, taking the train to Tibet is the most cost-effective traffic way. But it spends longer time on the way than taking the air. People could board the train to Tibet in Chongqing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Xining, and Xian, etc.

9.What are the most attractive and worthy attractions in Tibet?

In Lhasa City, there is Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, and Norbulingka Palace, etc. Nearby Lhasa City there is Yampachen and Namtso Lake, etc. In Shigatse Prefecture, there is Tashilhunpo Monastery, Palkhor Monastery, Rongbuk Monastery, Karo-la Glacier, and Mt.
