Lake Namtso is about 250 kilometers away from Lhasa. But please note that the way stretching toward Lake Namtso is always blocked by the snow in the winter.

The snow-capped Nyainqentanglha Mountains is located in the south of Lake Namtso. There are plateaus and hills in the north and west of the lake.
