How to Avoid or Alleviate High Altitude Sickness

Most visitors who come into high altitude area for first time will appear light or serious high altitude sickness. There is no regular pattern about which kind of people will appear high altitude sickness. In order to avoid or release high altitude sickness, visitors are suggested to keep in good mood to face it. Some symptoms of high altitude sickness are psychological effects or caused by psychological effects. For example, visitors who are very scared of high plateau, and lack of enough mental preparation and the determination of challenging high plateau will appear high altitude sickness more easily.

How to Avoid or Alleviate High Altitude Sickness – Suggestions

The visitors who first come to high plateau are suggested not to walk quickly or run, or do some physical labor, or eat too much which will add burden to digestive apparatus. You are suggested not to drink alcohol or smoke. It will be better to eat more vegetables and fruits and some other foods which full of Vitamin, drink moderate water, pay attention to keeping warm, and decrease bathe to avoid cold and energy consumption. Please do not take oxygen at the very start. You are suggested to adapt to the high plateau condition by yourself, or you can't leave oxygen when you stay in high plateau.

How to Avoid or Alleviate High Altitude Sickness – Medicine

You can take some medicines to alleviate high altitude sickness, like the Sedum safflower capsules ( it can be take about 7 to 10 days in advance), ginseng tablet (which is effective for releasing tiredness), Bufferin ( it is useful for alleviate headache which caused by high altitude sickness), Quick Acting Heart Reliever (which can not eat too much), Salvia Dropping Pill (which is used for treating Cardiovascular disease), glucose (which is effective for the symptoms of high altitude sickness).

For who with adaptive faculty, the symptoms of high altitude sickness can be disappear in one or two days; it may need three to seven days for people who with weak adaptive faculty. If you can adapt to the taste of butter tea, you can drink some butter tea, which will have certain effect on alleviate high altitude sickness.
