For visitors who come into high altitude area for first time, it is very common to appear light high altitude sickness. There are some typical symptoms of high altitude sickness. You can just whether you have appeared high altitude sickness based on these symptoms.

Brief Introduction of Symptoms of High Altitude Sickness

Part of visitors who first come into high altitude area, where is higher than 3000 meters will appear headache, dizziness, giddiness, tinnitus, weakness, difficulty in walking, difficulty in sleeping and some other symptoms in first 24 hours. In serve cases, visitors may appear abdominal distension, inappetence, nausea, emesis, Palpitation, shortness of breath, chest distress, purple face and lips, facial edema and some other symptoms. If these symptoms appear, visitors should stay at the same altitude for three or five days, or go down to lower places, and then these symptoms will disappear.

Some reports said that the incidence of high altitude sickness under 3500 meters is about 37 percents to 51 percents; and the incidence of high altitude sickness between 3600 meters and 5000 meters reaches 50 percents. These reports showed that the incidence of high altitude sickness at higher places is higher.

Symptoms of High Altitude Sickness

The harm of serious high altitude sickness to the body is very serious. So, if you appear these symptoms as bellow, you should think that the high altitude sickness has appeared:

1. Serious headache, Palpitation, shortness of breath, chest distress, inappetence, nausea, emesis, cyanotic lips and nails.

2. Semiconscious state and Cognitive ability plunged. It mainly acts as hard to count. You can try to solve math problem before you coming into high altitude are, and count the time. If you appear the high altitude sickness symptoms, you can solve the same math problem. If the time to solve this problem is longer than before, which show that the high altitude sickness has appeared.

3. If the high altitude sickness happened, you may appear hallucination, and feel warm. You may walk after someone without any aims.
