The 10th performing of Peach Blossom Festival will be hold at the bank of Nyang River of Nyingchi Prefecture on 1st April, 2012.
In March every year, the peach blossom blooms full of the mountains during the end of winter, which looks like the blusher on the face of Tibetan girls. With the picturesque landscape, Nyingchi Prefecture attracts tourists of unique sceneries. Thus the best time to enjoy the peach blossom is from 15th March to 30th April.
The Peach Blossom Festival started in 2002. During this 10th Peach Blossom Festival, the photography exhibition and national sport and other activities will be hold at the same time, especially the activity of fashion show of minority will be displayed to tourists.
The 10th Peach Blossom Festival will be hold in Gala village in Nyingchi Prefecture close to Bayi Town. Surrounded by two giant mountains and been flowed through by snow water, Gala Village is also praised as the "Peach Blossom Canyon" and "Peach Blossom Channel" by local people. During the time of March and April, not only the magnificent scenery of peach blossom full of the whole mountain but also the unique and romantic spring in Tibet tourists can enjoy.
From now on, ten couples of lovers will be collected and then invited to the 10th Peach Blossom Festival holding the group wedding. At that time, the "Love Tree" will be planted by new couples together with best wishes of everybody.
