Known as the First Grade National Key Protected Species with giant panda together, Grus Nigricollis is a kind of birds and categorized as a world's endangered species.

Recent days, hundreds of Grus Nigricollis fly back to Valley Area of Tibet in winter. Some of them are flying around the lake while some are finding food, all of which is an unforgettable scene of nature. It's totally different from the attraction of other places and also been hard to describe the beauty of quite and magnificent. When you watch the wonderful sight especially during the time of nightfall, you'll feel peaceful in heart truly.

Large Numbers of Grus Nigricollis Fly Back to Tibet in winter - Natural Reserve

In order to protect Grus Niigricollis well, many natural reserves have been established in some parts of Tibet Region such as in Valley Area of the middle reaches of Yarlung Zangbo River. All of the natural reserves of Tibet Region have already been the important fields for Grus Nigricollis in winter. In addition, the corresponding wildlife protection regulations have also been formulated by Tibet Government to be strict in the activities by human beings.

Large Numbers of Grus Nigricollis Fly Back to Tibet in winter – the Largest Breeding Ground

According to the research, Tibet is the largest breeding ground of Grus Nigricollis of the world. In winter, the warm climate and large numbers of highland barley, wheat and grass roots would be the better food for them. And when the March and April come, the Grus Nigrecollis would in succession fly to the lakes and the marshes of northern highland of Tibet Region to raise up seed.

Grus Nigricollis especially live in the plateau with the body length of 130 centimeters, which mainly respectively exists in China, India and Nepal. In 2003, it has been categorized as the endangered species by the international organization. Now, there are more than numbers of 8000 Grus Nigricollis being saved in Tibet Region accounting for more than 80 percent of the total number of the world.
