Shigatse Tour – Transportation

When have Shigatse tour, you can first take flight to Lhasa Gonggar Airport. The airport is about 400 kilometers away from Shigatse. In Gonggar Airport, there are scheduled buses to Shigatse. The whole journey is about 4 hours, and the cost is 150 CNY. You also can first take airport bus to Lhasa, and take bus from Lhasa to Shigatse.

Shigatse is transportation center of Tibet. The highway in Shigatse extends in all directions. The 318 National Highway, Shgatse-Yadong Highway, Lhasa-Pulan Highway and China and Nepal Friendship Highway go through Shigatse.

The bus station of Shigatse is located at Liberation Road C. There are schedule buses to Lhasa every half of an hour. The price of bus ticket is about 65 CNY. In addition, there are long-distance buses to Yadong, Gyantse, Lhatze, Sakya and other districts.
