Peach Blossom Photographic Tour – Bome County

D4 Bome, Midui Glacier, Ranwu Lake, Bome County

In the morning, we will drive to Ranwu Town of Basu County by way of Midui Glacier. Midui Glacier was formed by the confluence of two largest waterfalls in ancient times. It is located very close to Sichuan-Tibet Highway (G318 National Highway), as the typical of the Oceanic Glacier. There is a wild primitive forest sea between those two waterfalls. The breathtaking and amazing scenery of Midui Glacier let you fall in love with this fairy land which was forgotten by people. There are full of the high trees, flowing streams, flying tiercels, beautiful snow mountains, limpid lakes, wild fields, and quiet villages, etc, along the way.

For lunch, we will have something to eat in Ranwu Town. And then we will go to visit Ranwu Valley and enjoy Ranwu Lake. Ranwu Lake is situated in Basu County in Qamdo Prefecture, flowing into Nyingchi Prefecture. It was formed by the mountain collapse and the debris flow in ancient times. As Ranwu Lake is located a little higher, the daily temperature difference is obviously large. Please take enough clothes and keep yourself warm.

Later on we will drive back to Bome County in the evening by way of Palong Zangbo River. It is the most beautiful section of Sichuan-Tibet Highway from Ranwu Lake to Palong Zangbo River. You could take many great photos everywhere as you wish. When we drive along the river bank of Palong Zangbo River, you can photograph the primitive forest and Palong Zangbo Canyon, etc. The sceneries there are distinctive and unique in different seasons.

The peach blossom village is also regarded as a land of idyllic beauty. It is located in the east bank of Yarlung Zangbo River and full of different peach trees. The peach blossom will blossom in March every year, which decorate this village very beautiful and idyllic. As the transportation is not as convenient as Lhasa City, it is still little-known by tourists. So you will have a chance to enjoy this unforgettable fairy land and take some photos there.

Afterwards, we will drive to Bome Gangshang Natural Reserve which covers an area of 4600 hectare. The elevation is about 2700 meters high. There are full of rare faunas and floras. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful forests of China and written by "Chinese National Geography".

Next we will visit the Ancient Village Scenic Spot which is situated in the south of G318 National Highway. It covers an area of 20000 square meters. There is a small islet at the lake center which covers an area of 1000 square meters.

And then we will continue to drive along Palong Zangbo River – the branch of Yarlung Zangbo River to appreciate the attractive primitive forest scenery of southeastern Tibet.

In addition, we will pass the Tongmai Natural Barrier which is renowned for the dangerous, narrow and steep highlights.
