Physical Health:

Tourists should have a better understanding of the physical condition of their own. Do a thorough check-up of your body before entering into Tibet. People who get disease about heart, lung, brain, liver or kidney or who has anemia or high blood pressure are not advised for a Beijing to Tibet tour. You would better not take a bath the first days entering into Tibet.

Natural Conditions:

Debris flow and collapse often happen in the rainy season in Tibet. Tourists are not allowed to go out and trip alone without the company of the tour guide.

Do as the Romans do:

The folk custom of Tibet is deeply influenced by religion. Some customs and habits could not be measured by normal psychology. Do not fuss about and blame any activities of them even if you do not accept that. Do not quarrel with others, do not watch celestial burial without permit to avoid unnecessary disturbance. Do not worry much about these. The tour guides will make some introduction of the Tibetan customs and habits; you just need to keep them in mind.

Political issues:

Political topics are sensitive in Tibet. It is not wise to talk about politics in Tibet with anyone at any occasions, the Tibetan people, foreigners, tour guides or companions.

Taboo for taking pictures:

Temples in Tibet is unique and people are loudly dressed. The price of taking pictures in some places is clearly marked. You can take a picture of that for about 50 yuan or more. Remember do not sneak a photograph, it is very impolite and this may irritate the local people. You should be careful when taking pictures of people as not all people like being photographed. So ask for permit before you take an action.

When getting in trouble:

If clashes with local people, you should give precedence to them out of courtesy or thoughtfulness. Do not quarrel or even fight. Report the matter to your guide and they will deal with it well.
