Tibetan Custom – Women's Wear in Bogar Tribe of Luoba Nationality

Women in Bogar Tribe dress a kind of short upper outer garment which is named "Jidu". This kind of garment is seamed up by a kind of hand-woven cloth which was made up from wild flax. It is double-breasted, with short sleeves and without collar. Women in Bogar Tribe wear tweed tight skirts which were made up from Tibetan wool. This kind of skirt is named "Jiebang". Women will wear a kind of legging which is named "Niesumu" on shanks. Furthermore, women in rich family will wear a cape outside which is named "Jienabu". The making process of women's wear is same as men's wear. It is to shear cloth with knife and sew with bamboo needle.

Tibetan Custom – Women's Wear in Ximeng Tribe of Luoba Nationality

The women in Ximeng Tribe wear white or blue double-breasted wide short upper outer garments which were made up from local cotton and skirts which were made up from white cloth with brown or brownish black strips. The skirt should be worn under belly button.

Tibetan Custom – Women's Wear in Badamu Tribe of Luoba Nationality

Women in Badamu Tribe and Mingrong Tribe wear a kind of large upper outer garments with long sleeves. The wristbands of sleeves are bound with yellow patterns. They wear a kind of skirt with wide lower hem. The skirts are knitted with patterns of parallel lines, shape of "Z" or shape of triangle in the color of yellowish red and pink, or yellowish red and yellowish black.

Tibetan Custom – Women's Wear in Bengni Tribe of Luoba Nationality

In Bengni Tribe, the upper outer garment is named "Nimai Aiji". The garments were sewed up with hand-woven cloth which was made up from the fiber of "Daluo", "Busu", "Haren" and other wild plants. First, sew two pieces of black or red hand-woven cloth into a long blanket. The length of the blanket should be two times of arm spread and the width of the blanket should be one time of arm spread. The way to wear this kind of garment is similar with wearing man's garment. First put one corner of this blanket on left shoulder. Then, hold another part of this blanket and wind from right arm to left arm and stop at the front of right chest. Then, wind the corner on left shoulder from back to inside of right arm and connects with the corner in front of right chest, with left shoulder exposing (man expose right shoulder). At the place of shank, use bamboo sticks to fasten the hem. At last, tie a waistband which is named "Bushu" on the waist. The "Bushu" is made up from the fiber of red, black, white, yellow and other dyed plants. The color of "Bushu" is very bright. Some women also use a rattan to string twelve "Hefei" which is in the shape of small cymbal to be waistband. Women in Bengni Tribe are with bare feet around the year.
