Temperature Indicator of Different Regions in Tibet – General Introduction of Tibet Climate

Tibet Plateau is the highest plateau above the sea level. It is even praised as the Third Polar in the World for its high elevation. Tourists making a Tibet tour will have the chance to witness the endless grassland, dense primitive forests, holy lakes in different sizes, the highest peak above the sea level Mt. Everest, and also the deepest and longest canyon in the world – Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon.

Tibet is located in a special climatic zone. The summer in different regions in Tibet is characterized by cool. Though parts of Tibet would suffer certain drought, the air humidity here is relatively higher compared to the other areas in the same latitude. Most of the rainfalls on Tibet Plateau would happen in summer but each precipitation would not be too much. Except Nyingchi, the precipitation in most regions here would not surpass 50 millimeters. Tourists making a Tibet tour in the rainy season don't need to be over worried about the frequent rainfall since it rains frequently in night and there would always be lovely sunshine in the daytime.

The extremely high temperature on Tibet Plateau would not surpass 31?. The annual temperature range on Tibet Plateau is much narrower than the temperature range of the plains, but there would always be obvious temperature difference between day and night. The solar radiation here is pretty strong due to the low impurity content and moisture in the air. Tourists are strongly suggested to prepare some stuff to get protection from the ultraviolet radiation, such as the sun-blocking cream, sunglasses and sun-bonnet.
