Tibet Plateau also known as the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau is a vast plateau in East Asia with high altitude covering most of the Tibet Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province in western China. With an average elevation exceeding 4,500m (14,800 ft), the Tibetan Plateau is sometimes called "the Roof of the World" and is the world's highest and largest plateau, with an area of 2.5 million km2.

If the railroad car is like the air cabin, train will be a better choice than air, as people will acclimatize the pressure gradually.
Acute Mountain Sickness is lack of oxygen but high pressure. It is usually occurred above 3000m mountains. When people ascend to the plateau or high mountains above 3000m, you will feel absence of oxygen and breathe accelerating. At the same time, you will feel stomach dyspepsia.
