Tibet Event Timeline(1639-1705)- Gushri Khan

In 1639, Gushri Khan ordered the army to assault Kang Prefecture. Each part of Tibet Region began to contact with Qing Dynasty.

In 1642, Gushri Khan ordered the army to attack Shigatse with the support of Gelug Sect. The 5th Dalai Lama has been invited and given the political power of managing the Shannan Prefecture and Tsang.

In 1643, because of the implicate of the chaos of opposing to Gushri Khan and Gelug Sect, the 10th Living Buddha of Black Hat School fled to Yunnan Province.

In 1644, the Emperor Shunzhi of Qing Dynasty took the throne. Gushri Khan, the 5th Dalai Lama and the 4th Panchen Lama send the envoy to celebrate together.

In 1645, according to the decision of the 5th Dalai Lama, the Potala Palace began to construct.

In 1648, the part of white house of the Potala Palace has been completed.

In 1652, the 5th Dalai Lama went to Bejing from Lhasa in March and arrived at the end of the year.

In 1653, the 5th Dalai Lama went back to Tibet Region. The Emperor Shunzhi of Qing Dynasty awarded him the golden book and golden seal. Later Gushri Khan has been awarded the golden book and golden seal too.

In 1654, Gushri Khan died in Lhasa in December.

Tibet Event Timeline(1639-1705) - the 5th Dalai Lama

In 1658, the son of Gushri Khan, Dayan Khan took the throne.

In 1660, the 5th Dalai Lama appointed Chilye Gyatso as Disi (also called Dimu) in July. Disi took charge of civil affairs of Tibet Region such like the prime minister.

In 1668, Chilye Gyatso died in February. Dayan Khan died in March.

In 1669, Losam Tutao was appointed as Disi by the 5th Dalai Lama.

In 1670, the Dalai Khan took the throne in Lhasa City in March.

In 1673, the reincarnations of the 19th Living Buddha of Black Hat School and the 6th Living Buddha of Red Hat School came back to Lhasa. Karma Kagyu got along with Gelug Sect.

In 1675, Dzogchen Monastery began to construct. The 5th Dalai Lama appointed the Losam Kinma as Disi.

In 1679, Losam Kinma quit the job of Disi in January. The 5th Dalai Lama appointed Samge Gyatso as Disi in February. Tibet got fight with Ladakh (an area of India).

In 1680, Tawang Monastery has been constructed becoming the centre of religion and politics.

In 1682, the 5th Dalai Lama died in the Potala Palace in February. Samge Gyatso stealthily took charge of religious and political affairs on behalf the 5th Dalai Lama.

In 1683, the 6th Dalai Lama was born in March.

In 1686, Samge Gyatso finished the famous book of Tibetan medicine and later ordered people to paint in 60 of Thangka.

In 1690, the red part of red house of the Potala Palace has been completed.

In 1694, the death of the 5th Dalai Lama has been exposed.

In 1697, the 6th Dalai Lama has been confirmed. The 6th Dalai Lama is Tsangyang Gyatso.

In 1701, Dalai Khan died in Lhasa, his son Lhabzang Khan took the throne.

In 1704, 79 of Thangka paintings of Tibetan medicine have been completed.

In 1705, Samge Gyatso was killed. The 6th Dalai Lama was repealed and sent to Beijing.
