1. Submit scanned copy of passport and Chinese Visa about 15 days in advance.
Note: If you come into Tibet by air, you must hold the original Tibet Travel Permit while check-in at the airport. The journalists, government officials and diplomats are not allowed to go to Tibet.
2. The itinerary of your Tibet tour. (With the seal of Tibet travel agency on it).
3. Information of Visitor (name, age, gender, nationality, occupation, passport number).
4. Visitors who want to go to Nyingchi, Mt. Everest, Zham Port, Ngari and some other districts in Tibet need to handle Military Permit.
Based on the new policy of Tibet Tourism Bureau, the Tibet Travel Permit can be applied when there are five persons with same nationality in the group and come into Tibet at same place and same time.
Once all necessary documents done, we can send them to Tibet Tourism Bureau for applying Tibet Travel Permit.
Visitors without China inland identity card (including foreign visitors and visitors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) must hold Tibet Travel Permit for Tibet tour.
Passport and Visa: Except visitors who come from countries made visa-free agreement with China, foreign visitors go to Tibet must hold valid passport and visa which issued by Chinese Embassy.
Tibet Travel Permit: Except common visa, foreign visitors want to go to Tibet must hold Tibet Travel Permit which officially signed and issued by Tibet Tourism Bureau.
The tourists must first handle Chinese Visa at local Chinese Embassy.
Then, foreign tourists can get Tibet Travel Permit with the help of professional Tibet tour operator. The whole process need about 15 days. Tourists can first provide Tibet travel agency the scanned copy of passport and Chinese Visa and occupation as application material, and the travel agency will send the materials to Tibetan Tourism Bureau for Tibet Travel Applying.
