Travel to Tibet in Autumn – Clothes Preparation in Autumn

As we all known, the obvious temperature between day and night is the most noted characteristics of the climate on Tibet Plateau. Though it would not be very cold in the daytime due to the strong sunshine, tourists planning to travel to Tibet in autumn should also prepare some warm clothes. Sportswear, outdoors clothes, gym suits are very suitable for tourists planning to do some trekking or camping activities in the wild.

Tourists are highly advised to prepare some double-deck or thick-layer coats, thermal underwear or some thin sweater. Tourists who has a weak physical condition or afraid of the coldness should prepare some warmer clothes. Sneakers with hard soles and high uppers would be the most suitable shoes for tourist planning to do some trekking activities at Mt. Everest Base Camp, Ngari Plateau, Medog and some other scenic spots due to the complicated natural environment in these regions.

Travel to Tibet in Autumn – Tips on Clothes Preparation

Tourists planning to travel to Tibet in autumn and want to make a visit to Mt. Everest, Namtso Laken Nagri Plateau or other places with extremely high altitude should note that thick sweaters and down jacket should be prepared all around the year. Please note that a sleeping bag should also be prepared if you want to camp in the wild instead of taking a rest in the guesthouse. The temperature would drop rapidly in the night, a sleeping bag would better protect you from the coldness. Tourists only want to visit regions like Lhasa, Nyingchi, Shigatse, Shannan and other places with lower altitude don't need to be over worried about the coldness in the night since the objective condition in these places are much better than Ngari or Mt. Everest Base Camp far away from the county seat.

The strong sunshine and dry air on Tibet Plateau require tourists planning to travel to Tibet in autumn to prepare sun-blocking stuffs, such as the sun bonnet, sunglasses, lipstick creams to get your skin to be protected. Tourists who go to Tibet for a business tour should prepare a formal suite and leather shoes for the formal occasion.
