London Heathrow Airport is located at No. 234 Bath Road, Harlington, Middlesex UB3 5AP, UK as the largest and busiest airport of Britain. It is about 22 kilometers away from the London center in the south of Hillingdon District.

As the 4th terminal of Heathrow Airport is only used for British Airways that apart from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd terminal, only Heacelow express inside the airport is available to transfer you within the 4 terminals. Do not worry, the yellow signs will be help you find the location of heacelow express.

With the convenient and well-developed London metro, the subways are very helpful to passengers to find how to go to Heathrow Airport, and even depart from here. Because Heathrow Airport is actually one of the stations of most of the subways. Only if you reach the 1st floor underground, you can be transfer to any area of London city by subways.

Besides, the frequent free shuttle buses are also offered in Heathrow Airport.


The car rental service counter is available in each terminal of Heathrow Airport. The airport is situated very close to the M25 London Expressway around the city, and M4 Expressway which lead to London, Western England, and South Wales. It always takes about 1 hour between London center and the airport by bus, and sometimes, you are probably asked to pay for additional traffic congestion surcharge.

High Speed Train

High speed train usually runs 15 minutes between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport, while the Airport train will spend about 25 minutes. The yellow signs will take you to the location of the airport train.


There are two subway stations in the airport, which respectively located in the 4th satellite hall, and another one in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd satellite hall. You can purchase your One day Travel Kard(All Zones)here freely after 9:00 in the morning, which can not used for air bus.

The working time of subway is 5:13-23:49 from Monday to Saturday, 5:57-23:30 on Sunday. The subway usually runs every 4 minutes from the four terminals, which the 4th terminal spends about 5 minutes as it is much far away.

Generally speaking, it will take you about 50-55 minutes between London center and airport by subway. It costs you about ?3.60 between the airport to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th London District.

Additionally, we kindly suggest you not to take the subway during the peak hour (8:00-9:30).

Bus or Passenger Car

As a matter of fact, the cost of bus or passenger car is much higher than the subway's. But you have a chance to enjoy the sceneries outside of the window on bus and can be transited to more than 500 local&inland destinations.

The most convenient bus is Air Bus, which owns two routes, A1 and A2. A1 will leave for Victoria Station and A2 will leave for Russell Square, both of which depart from the 4 satellite halls every half an hour. It is about 70 minutes' driving.

Another tips is that the N9 bus will run overnight every night, 23:57-5:27.


London Taxi will take passengers outside the terminal building. It usually takes about 1 hour between London center to Heathrow Airport and costs about ?40 - ?70. The taxi service contact number is:
