The Napa Lake is located in northwest of Shangri-La County, about 8 kilometers away from the county town. It is also named Yila Grassland. It is the ideal habitat of black-necked crane which is under the state's first-grade protection, and the largest grassland in Shangri-La County. In May of every year, the Napa Lake is a covered by green grass. At the beginning of June, various wild flowers will gradually bloom, and herds of cattle and sheep rise and fall with the grass ocean. Furthermore, the three snow mountains on the west side tower up quietly. The snow mountain, grassland and herds of cattle and sheep consist of the splendid sights of Shangri-La.
