Q: Mt. Kailash Introduction, What is sacred mountain of Tibet?

Jessie: Mt. Kailash literally means "the treasure of the snow mountain" in Tibetan language and it is 6656 meters high. It is the main peak of Gangdise Mountain Range even though it is not the highest peak in this area. Mt. Kailash shapes like a pyramid with many steep cliffs. It is so great that is widely accepted by the Indian Buddhist pilgrims, Jainism devout pilgrims, Bon Sect and Tibetan Buddhists at the same time. It is also the only one snow mountain of China that is prohibited to climb, which makes it be called the virgin peak of the world. How amazing it is!

Q: Is it worthy to travel to Nagri (Ali) and Mt. Kailash if we are not Buddhists?

Jessie: Absolutely yes! We travel to somewhere for one of the attractions there attracts us, but it does not matter what it is. It may be the breathtaking nature, the wonderful cultural relics, the mysterious local customs, the pure people, or the remote location from where you usually stay, or anything else. Do you agree? Besides the religious honors, the wild nature of Mt. Kailash is magnificent and amazing, too. You can see it between a flat plain and Namnany Peak, while the quite beautiful Mapam Yungtso and the ghost lake - Lhanag-tso are both lying in front of Mt. Kailash. Imagine it how impressive the picture in your sight at that moment.

Actually, when I hike at the foot of Mt. Kailash watching by the Buddha, I feel quiet in my heart and I think a lot. I am thankful to my parents, friends, and my lover, I also think of many people who I have met in life experience. Such which are not usually been thinking in my nervous city life before. Sometimes I am scared of the future and did not know the significance of my life, but I think I find one there. When I stand so far from the world center, I think I can be my own. I think you can, too. Everyone will find the reason to come and stay, no matter if you are the religious Buddhist, or not.
