Ngari Transportation - How to Go to Ngari

In general, foreign tourists usually take the car to Ngari via Ngari highway. The main arterial traffic of Ngari is Xin-Tibet highway (Xinjiang-Tibet), Guoshi Highway, Anshi Highway, and Lapu Highway. The best time to travel to Ngari during Tibet adventure tour is from July to August.

By Air

As of now only Air China offer the airline from Chengdu-Lhasa-Ngari, which runs on Tuesdays and Fridays. The airport of Ngari named Kunsha Airport, located in southwest of Lion Spring River of Ngari, Tibet. It is about 1 hour driving from airport to Lion Spring River scenic spot.

By Bus

The public buses of Ngari - Lhasa, Ngari - Shigatse, and Ngari - Yecheng of Xinjiang are usually available in long-distance bus line station in Ngari. Generally speaking, there is only one bus timetable from Ngari to Lhasa in two days, which often takes 2 days. Only one bus timetable runs in 4 days from Ngari to Shigatse, which takes 2 days, too. In addition, it takes about 40 hours from Ngari to Yecheng of Xinjiang, which the bus runs once in 4 days.

By Car

We usually provide the car from Lhasa to Ngari, or Lion Spring River to Ngari.
