In Tibet, the lakes scattered all over like stars in the sky. You may see a small lake in tens kilometers and a large lake in hundreds kilometers. The mountains and lakes set off each other, forming beautiful scenery. Comparing with Namtso Lake, Basum Lake and other holy lakes, there are many little-known mini lakes in Tibet often neglected by people.
The Ranwu Lake is located at southwest of Basu County in Qamdo Prefecture, in the Ranwu Country which is about 90 kilometers away from the county town Bama Town. The area of Ranwu Lake is 22 square kilometers. The altitude of the lake surface is 3580 meters. The Ranwu Lake means "the lake formed by corpses". According to legends, there were a buffalo in the lake and a head of yellow cattle on the bank. They fight with each other. After died, they became two mountains. The lake in the middle of these two mountains is the Ranwu Lake.
The quiet and blue water of Ranwu Lake is very famous in Tibet. The scenery around the Ranwu Lake is changeable. The color around the Ranwu Lake is very rich. There are grassland, forest, autumn leaves and white water birds, as well as colorful pebbles on the lake shoal. The water in Ranwu Lake is as limpid as mirror.
The Butuo Lake is located in Butuo Village, Dingqing County. It is about 25 kilometers away from Dingqing Lake. The Butuo Lake consists of two plateau lakes in different size on east and west. The lake on east is Butuoqiongtso. The area of Butuoqiongtso is 2 square kilometers. The lake on west is Tuoqingtso. The area of Tuoqingtso is 3 square kilometers. The altitude of Butuo Lake is from 4560 meters to 4600 meters. The distance between two lakes is 5 kilometers. The Butuo Lake is like two brilliant pearls on the Butuoka Grassland.
The Co Ngoin, located in the area of Shenzha County on south of Qiangtang, is near to the Shenzha Siling Lake in Naqu Prefecture. There is a 14000 square kilometers wide wetland which is the protection zone built for protecting black-necked crane.
The construction of Co Ngoin is lacustrine regression. The water in Co Ngoin is mainly supplied by inflow. The main rivers flowing into the Co Ngoin are Yongzhu Zangpo and Puzhong Zangpo. The water-collecting area of Co Ngion is 8985 square kilometers. The altitude of water surface is 4562 meters. The length of Co Ngoin is 28.5 kilometers, the average width is 9.4 meters and the largest width is 16.7 meters. The area of Co Ngion is 244 square kilometers. The Co Ngion is with lush aquatic plants and rich fish and bird resource. The lake shoreline of Co Ngion is intricate. The six large and small islands in the lake are Sangle Rire Bird Island, Tiebu Jiale Island, Anggong Dibu, Seduo Gangqian and Ersang Daoli Island.
