The Lhasa Railway Station is located in DuiLongDeQing County, southwest of Lhasa. It is about 20 kilometers away from Potala Palace. After the Qinghai-Tibet Railway put into operation, more and more travelers would like to take train to Lhasa from other cities of China not only for its more economical, but also for the breathtaking scenery on the way. In Lhasa downtown, there are various taxis available. If you want to save time and be convenience, you are suggested to take taxi from Lhasa downtown to the railway station. The cost for the taxi is CNY 10 for each car.
Except for taxi, there are three buses between railway station and Lhasa downtown. They are route 91, Route 89 and Route 86. The price for the bus is CNY 2. You can get on the bus at a convenience bus station along the way.
