Lhasa Tours in the High Season

The period between May 1st and October 1st is thought to be the high season of Tibet tour. There is a large number of tourists would make their Tibet trip come true during this period. There would be an extremely large quantity of tourists would like to join the Lhasa tours between June and September.

Lhasa Tours in the High Season – Air Flights

Enter into April; Tibet welcomes its most beautiful season. Everywhere on Tibet Plateau is brimming over with vigor and vitality. The number of tourists (both at home and abroad) coming to Tibet increases rapidly. It is reported that spring and summer is the peak season of Lhasa tours. Tibet received 8.5 million tourists in 2011 and it is predicted that the number of tourists might break up 10 millions in 2012.

With the coming of the high season of Tibet tour, an increasing number of tourists start to rush to the holy city – Lhasa. The airlines connect Lhasa and other domestic cities fly more frequently. Tibet has opened 32 domestic flights so far. It is reported that Tibet has accomplished a passenger throughput of 0.504 million between January and April in 2012 and that increased 28.8 percent compared to that of the same period in the last year.

Lhasa Tours in the High Season – Restaurants in Lhasa

Tourists planning to join the Lhasa tours in Lhasa don't need to be over worried about the accommodation condition. The accommodation condition in Lhasa City ranks first in Tibet. Most of the hotels here provide Tibetan style and Sichuan style dishes. The Nepal style and Indian style foods are also available in few restaurants. There is no much difference in the price of the food between different restaurants. But please note that the price of the Sichuan style food might be relatively expensive compared to that in Chengdu or Choingqing. Most of the restaurants providing western style foods are located at Beijing Road where there are numerous tourists.

The Gangji Restaurant enjoys a really high reputation among overseas tourists. It mainly provides local Tibetan style food. Tourists here could enjoy the wonderful streetscape while tasting the delicious food. It might be a good choice for tourists to witness the local Tibetans and tourists from all over the world in front of Jokhang Temple.
