Representative Attractions in Tibet

The representative attractions in Tibet are certainly Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street.

Potala Palace

Potala Palace is certainly the must-see attraction in Lhasa, Tibet. It is almost the representation of Tibet Region. Known as the high reputation of old-age history and religious legends, the magnificent feeling of the construction and respective mind of pilgrims are both surprised your impression of Lhasa, Tibet.

Johkang Temple

Besides the history of Songtsen Gampo and Wencheng Princess to Johkang Temple, the 12-year-old Sakyamuni Statue is well preserved inside, which attracts many Tibetans and tourists to visit.

Barkhor Street

It is not far away from the Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. Lots of Tibetan stuffs will make your eyes dazzled in Barkhor Street. Breathtaking Natural Scenery in Tibet

Namtso Lake is the largest salt water lake in Tibet and the second largest salt water lake in China (it was the third largest salt water lake in China before 1970s before the Lop Nor Lake dried up). The water is very deep blue surrounding by the snow mountains.

Yamdrok Lake is a plateau barrier lake formed after the glaciers and the debris flow blocking the river about 0.1 billion years ago. The lake looks like a long silk ribbon which the water has different color in the meanwhile. For example, the western part is blue, the eastern part is probably green.

Worthy Cultural Landscape in Tibet

Yungbu Lakang is one of the worthy cultural landscape in Shannan Prefecture, Tibet. It is well known for the fame of first temple of Tibet. It is located on the mountain on the eastern bank of Yarlung River and is about 11 kilometers away from Tsedang Town.

It was changed to a monastery from palace during the regime of Songtsen Gambo. During the summer, Songtsen Gampo and Wencheng Princess would come here to enjoy the scenery.

Religious Monastery in Tibet

Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery will be recommended to you during Tibet tour.

Drepung Monastery is the largest monastery of Tibet owning many large Buddhism exhibition during Tibetan festival. Even in regular time, Tibetans would also like to gather here to pray and show their respect to Buddha.
