How to Enjoy the Nightlife in Lhasa City

More and more entertainments are available in Lhasa City in recent years. There are simple sweet tea houses, warm coffee shops, modern KTV, and small bars in Lhasa. The nightlife of Lhasa City is traditional but also fashionable. How fantastic experience is during Tibet tour.

Eat and drink

The heavy rain frequently happens in the evenings in summer in Lhasa City. After few hours' cleaning, the nightlife of Lhasa city secretly comes with the dark around half past nine. The sweet tea house is not opened yet. It is a little earlier for the nightlife of Lhasa City. Actually, the sweet tea is originally succeeded from British people and now it becomes a popular leisure pastime for local people. Most of tricycle drivers and young people would like to spend spare time in the sweet tea houses before they the nightlife comes. They play cards, listen to Tibetan songs, play balls, or just chat with each other over there.

In addition, Sichuan Restaurants are easily found everywhere in Lhasa City. The food is characteristic of the spicy flavor and hot pot. The market suddenly becomes busiest when the restaurants open. The voice of yo-heave-ho sounds powerful and attractive to exciting people.

Coffee shop

It feels almost the same with other coffee shops throughout the world. It is peaceful and graceful. But, you may figure out the difference between them. Coffee shop of Lhasa city is truly far away from the madding crowd. It stands over the roof of the world. It is not only exquisite but also solemn. When I drink a cup of coffee listening to the saxophone and overlook the Potala Palace in front of me, I feel quiet and touched in my heart. I thank the life and people around me very much at that moment.

KTV

It is an inborn gift for Tibetan people to sing and dance when they come to this world. They can do it very well. Hennessy XO, vodka, maguey, and Whisky, etc, are all available there. But some of Tibetan people prefer to drink a bottle of local wine. They are satisfied with the life they have. KTV is decorated accord with Tibetan architecture style. It is religious but also fashionable.

Bar

Makye-ame, you can not miss it in your nightlife in Lhasa City. It is almost famous like Potala Palace. The mysterious love story of the Tsangyang Gyatso and Makya-ame attracts lots of religious believers and tourists to visit. Some people said that they come to Maky-ame to find their lost love, and some people said that they are looking for the true love in their lifetime, some beg for the forgiveness, and some come here to make them calm down. Whatever, every one has their own lovely stories.

It is located in the southeast corner of Barkhor Street. It is characteristic of the special hanging beautiful wood carving on the rooftop. There is a head portrait of a young girl on the window. People guessed she is the girl who named Makye-ame.
