The famous monasteries and palaces in Lhasa almost include Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Norbulingka, Drepung Monastery, and Sera Monastery and so on. Furthermore, there has the most popular Barkhor Street, which gathers worshipping and shopping together. Except the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street, most visitors will visit the Namtso Lake, which is near to Lhasa. And the Nyainqentanglha Mountain and Yampachen are also included in the Namtso Tour. There is one thing must be mentioned – Lhasa River. If you have enough time, you can walk along the Lhasa River bank. At the same time, Lhasa is the distribution center of Tibet tour. Most of Tibet classic tours start from Lhasa and come to next scenic spot from Lhasa. But this is not fixed system.
Shigatse is the political, economy and culture center of Tsang. The cultural landscapes in Shigatse are Tashilhunpo Monastery, Palkhor Monastery, Dzong Ruins, and Pala Manor and so on. The Karo Glacier and Yamdrok Lake are also wonderful sight spots. About the natural landscape in Shigatse, the Mt. Everest must be mentioned. The tour from Lhasa to Mt. Everest at least needs four days. The scenic spots on the way from Lhasa to Mt. Everest include Yamdrok Lake, Rongbuk Monastery, Mt. Everest Base Camp and Tashilhunpo Monastery and so on.
The main cultural landscapes in Shannan include Samye Monastery, Yongbulakang, Tombs of Tibetan Kings, Trandruk Monastery and so on. The tour from Lhasa to shannan needs two days.
Most scenic spots in Nyingchi are natural landscape. If you do not want to go to Medog, the tour to Nyingchi only need two or three days. Main scenic spots in Nyingchi include Giant Cypress, Baksumtso, Yarlung Zanpo Great Canyon, Bonri Mountain, Namjagbarwa Mountain, Medog and Bome and so on.
