Tibet Trains – Medical Service

In order to ensure the safety and health of passengers during the journey, the ticket sellers will offer you Passenger Health Registration Card for free when sell Tibet trains ticket. Passengers who hold valid train ticket and health registration card can come into the station. Based on the Tips for Plateau Travelers which issued by Ministry of Railways, travelers with heart diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, diabetes and serious cold are not suitable to visit the place higher than 3000 meters above the sea level.

The Tibet trains are equipped with two oxygen supply systems. Tibet trains will start to supply oxygen diffusely before Golmud. Except for this, there are oxygen supply ports at each berth and seat. Passengers on Tibet trains can easily get oxygen.

There are doctors and nurses for the sake of safety of passengers on Tibet trains . Furthermore, Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company also set up medical aid station at Tuotuo River along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, and built the medical aid points with the hospitals on Anduo and Nagqu. If travelers appear serious hypoxia or serious high altitude sickness, they will be transferred to these medical aid points and get emergent treatment.
