Guangdong Province will Invest in the Developing of the Golden Tour Route in Southeast Tibet

Southeast Tibet plays important role in the tourism industry of Tibet. It is one of the most potential region golden tour routes in Tibet and is always of great charm for tourists planning a Tibet tour. It is reported that Guangdong Province will put a large investment in the developing of the golden tour route in southeast Tibet in the coming years. They aimed at establishing Nyingchi Prefecture into one of the most famous tourism destinations in the world.

Nyingchi Prefecture is located at the southeast of Tibet Autonomous Region. The picturesque natural landscapes here integrate the primitive forests, snow-capped mountains, clear rivers and streams, plateau meadows and so on. The Bome Section of Sichuan-Tibet Highway here was said to be the most fascinating green corridor of natural landscapes above the sea level. The profound Tibetan culture and local folk customs here add more charm to the special plateau landscape and made it more mysterious for tourists who never been here. Guangdong Province gives assistance to Nyingchi Prefecture and already chose Nyingchi County, Bome County and Chayu County as the key zones for the developing of golden tour. They are planning to invest more than 0.4 billion RMB in the construction of these key tourism zones. An international tourism town will be constructed in Lulang Town of Nyingchi County. The financial fund and enterprise investment will exceed 2 billion RMB according to the current prediction. The developing of the golden tour route in southeast Tibet will be a "new business card" for the tourism industry of Tibet.

While promoting the construction and developing of the golden tour route southeast Tibet, Nyingchi Prefecture also attaches great emphasis on the "folk tourism" projects so as to make all local Tibetans get benefits from the tourism industry. Guangdong Province assists Nyingchi built 22 well-off villages in 3 years and each village involved an investment of about 4.5 million RMB.

The construction of the well-off village greatly improved the housing condition of the local peasants and herdsmen. The local government also greatly supported the local Tibetans to develop the special folk tourism industry, such as the Happy Rural Inns. These folk industries could provide various kinds of services for tourists both at home and abroad. The local household income is greatly increased in recent years.

Besides, Guangdong Province also assists the local government to promote the local medical care development so as to ensure the safety of tourists being worried about the high altitude sickness.
