Shigatse Shandong Mansion was funded by Shandong Province, Tibetan Autonomous Government and Shigatse Local administration. Shigatse Shandong Mansion is located on North Beijing Road in Shigatse. It is a tourist hotel concerning on foreign affairs, integrating catering, lodging, leisure, entertainment and shopping. The construction work of Shandong Mansion in April, 1997 and completed in October 1998. The total investment was 82.6 million. Shigatse Shandong Mansion opened to public on December 8th, 1998. In early of 1999, Shandong Mansion won the praise of Luban. In the same year, Shandong Mansion gain The Most of Shanghai Big World Guiness (the highest building in the city with highest altitude). Shandong Mansion was designed and built under international three-star standard. It was officially judged as three-star standard hotel by National Tourism Bureau in December, 2001. Shandong Mansion was designed by Shandong Designing Institute and built by Shandong Sanjian Bloc. The appearance of the building is a triangle which is beneficial to enjoy scenery and select light. In addition, triangle is with the function of shock-absorbing. The whole Shandong Mansion covers 11111 square meters, and the building of this mansion covers 5166 square meters. The main building is 38.3 meters high, with ten floors.
