Nanyigou – Location

Nanyigou also name "the Medicine King Valley in Tibet", and the Lesser Jiangnan (Southern Districts of Yangtze River). According to legends, the ancestor of Tibetan medicine ever extracted medicine, treated sick people and taught students here. It is important cradle of mysterious Tibetan medicine culture.

Nanyigou is located in Nanyi Country, north of Milling County, Tibet; which is 5 kilometers away from the county town. In the ditch, the ecology is well protected, climate is moist, and animal resource is rich. For the altitude is 2500 meters, it is praised as "China green forest bathing spot on the mountain peak" and "the highest green paradise in the world". This spot is not only a folk-custom tourist spot, but also ecology tourist district.

Nanyigou – Climate

Nanyi Luoba Nationality Country is located in this scenic spot which belongs to ecology tourist district. This scenic spot totally covers 820 hectares, with good climate condition. The annual average temperature is 8.2?, and the annual precipitation is about 675mm.

Nanyigou - Plants

The animal and plant resource in the district is very rich, including various queer style trees and 720 kinds of seed plants. Base on the amount of plant groups, the Pinaceae plants play a more important role. Furthermore, the ancient and tall "Milling Spruce King" is towering up in Zhagong Gounei. It has been measured by experts that this tree is with 29.9cm diameter, 56.8 meters high and the tree crown reached 304 square meters. There are many unique Tibetan species growing up in the scenic spot, like the populus mainlingensis, stellaria mainlingensis, aconitum milinense, delphinium sherriffii munz, Lilong berberis thunbergii DC., Miling berberis thunbergii DC., impatiens nyimana, saxifraga tigrina, rhododendron mainlingense, rhododendron charitopes, fargesia setosa, iris latistyla and so on. In the scenic spot, there distribute a certain amount of rare animals; you can see waterfall, grass mat everywhere; and the snow mountains, glacier are attractive. At the same time, there also distribute a certain amount of large-sized fungus which can be used to eat or as medicine. There are full of primitive and wild charm. In the scenic spot, there are rich Tibet medicinal material resources.
