Please advise me on the followings: (1) Do I need a visa to enter into Kathmandu, Nepal ? If so, when should I apply for a visa ? Given that I'm Australian passport holder. (2) How much will it cost for a tour from Kathmandu to Tibet (between 5 and 8 days) ? Does it include return airfare from Kathmandu to Tibet ? (3) When should I apply for a permit to enter Tibet ? Yes, all the foreigners to China tibet are required China tourist visa and tibet travel entry permit. for the tourist visa usually will be applied on your own in your country,and the tibet travel entry permit usually will be applied by ourside tibet travel angency within 15 days before your departure entry to tibet. May i know have you already get china tourist visa? if yes, you can ready to send us the scan of your passport and visa, your flight number, your occupation.. then we will star to prepare itinerary and document for submit to tibet tourism bureau. (2) How much will it cost for a tour from Kathmandu to Tibet (between 5 and 8 days) ? Does it include return airfare from Kathmandu to Tibet ? May i know how many members with your this trip? as the final cost will depand on number of people? If you have two, the cost will much better, because you have two people will share the cost of one private car and one room. Tour from kathmandu usually need 7-8 days for the whole trip , 5 days may only enough for around the Lhasa section tour. (3) When should I apply for a permit to enter Tibet ? Should I apply now or wait until after I book the airfares ? Tibet travel entry permit usually will be applied by ourside tibet travel angency within 15 days before your departure entry to tibet. As your planing will around 20/Dec, the time is close to your departure, as now the first problem is make sure you have china tourist visa first, then stick with the itinerary and all the document for submit to toursim bureau by the end of Nov.
